From the Shopify App Store or your Partner test link, install ReorderIQ on a dev store. Approve the requested permissions when prompted.
Pro tip: Use a development store with sample products and sales history for the best forecast demo.
2
Open the Executive Dashboard — review action items
Launch the app from Shopify Admin → Apps. The Dashboard shows inventory health, products needing reorder, dead stock value, and quick actions.
Pro tip: New installs may see sample insights until your first forecast completes.
3
Run Forecast and check Critical items
Go to Forecast in the sidebar. Click Refresh to generate recommendations. Look for Critical (red) and Low (orange) status badges, then sort by order quantity.
Pro tip: Sales velocity uses Shopify sales reports (read_reports / ShopifyQL). Without sales history, reorder quantities are based on current inventory.
4
Generate Purchase Orders by vendor
Open Purchase Orders or use Generate POs by Vendor from Forecast. POs are grouped by Shopify vendor and managed inside ReorderIQ.
Pro tip: Configure suppliers under Suppliers for email-ready PO exports.
5
Customize Settings — lead time, alerts, billing
Open Settings → Forecast & alerts for defaults. Use Billing to test plan upgrades. Advanced holds thresholds and velocity overrides.
Pro tip: Lead time directly affects how much stock the forecast recommends ordering.
Note about demo data
This demo uses sample data when you run the seed script on a development store. Your real store will show your actual products, inventory, and sales velocity from Shopify.
